Those questionnaires not available in local languages were translated and piloted. They were then modified to "make them more feasible for use in busy clinics"; GHQ-12, K10 and K6 scoring was made dichotomous and the duration of reporting symptoms was standardised to 2 weeks for all symptoms. Researchers suggest that their adaptation of scoring for K6 may have been responsible for its poorer performance.
