Treatment-resistant depression: adding low dose risperidone improves symptoms
J. G Barbee
Evid Based Ment Health 2008 11: 77.

web only notes 11/3/77

Notes

Participants were receiving a variety of different antidepressant monotherapies which were augmented with risperidone; this limits the meaningfulness of comparisons that can be made between particular risperidone-antidepressant combinations. Intention-to-treat analyses were carried out using mixed model repeated measures ANCOVA based on observed data. In the risperidone group, 19% of participants discontinued treatment compared with 12% in the placebo group.
