Telephone treatment support improves outcomes for depressed employees
S. Gilbody
Evid Based Ment Health 2008 11: 47.

Propensity score matching was used “to adjust for imperfect randomization in baseline characteristics”. It is unclear whether these imbalances between groups arose by chance or due to flaws in the randomisation procedure. Although the matching procedure was carried out, groups may still be imbalanced for unknown confounders. Intention to treat analyses were used and authors attempted to correct for differences between people with missing data at 6 and 12 months and people with complete data in terms of depression severity and work performance.
